netje
I have been trying for a very long time to get a blue batch of soap. I have tried Mica's and they usually go purple or pink. I just recently bought some Ultramarine Blue Powder Pigment, made a batch of dark blue soap, but when I pulled it out of the mold today - it was white! WHAT??? White? Arrrggg. I don't know what I am going. I called the people I bought the pigment from, but they said they don't make cold process soap and didn't know.Does anyone here have a proven blue soap recipe? What colorant do you use? Micas? Ultramarine?Any help is greatly appreciate.Thanks.
idacandlelady
I don't think this is posted in the right place, but I have made several blue batches with Ultramarine blue oxide. Not sure if "powder pigment" is the same as oxide though.

CareBear
Some of us are responding to your duplicate question in the soap section.
Carriegsxr6
The ultramarine blue should have done the trick. how much are you adding? I would use 1/4 teaspoon for a two lb oil batch, that should give you blue soap for sure.
