tamsoycandles
What is the typical (average) amount of mica you are adding to a soap batch? I'm considering the co-op running now on colorants and I want to make sure I get enough to play around with. How many teaspoons are in an ounce of mica, or whatever would be the correct spoons-per-ounce relationship? Thanks!Tony
Scented
I don't use a full tsp, but I would say you get about eight tsp a bag. That's a complete guess. I'm not going to transfer a baggie over to find out ... no offense, but it can be messy.

Scented
Well that was for about an oz. There are different fill levels on them. Think of a sandwich baggie and anywhere between 1/2-1" seems to be the typical fill level. Hope that helps some more. The micas are under a 1/4th of a regular sandwich bag, but figure anywhere from 1/2 to 1 from the bottom.

Now, how much would typically go in per/pound of a soap batch?Tell me to shut up if I'm asking too many questions...
Scented
LOL! Do you want to color the whole batch or just have color in it? I haven't used them to color a whole batch, but I typically use anywhere from 1/8 to 1/4 tsp.
