PurpleHippie
straight with no creases in the corner? For the life of me I can not get freezer paper to remain perfectly straight all around the edges! I usually end up with smaller corner bars because I cut off the the wrinkle portion. Is there some type of trick to getting it perfectly straight? I really wanted one of those no liner needed loaf molds but man have they gone up in price since I last looked them up a few years ago. All of the ones I've located start at $50.00 with most being around $80.00. I could have sworn that someone was selling them on ebay a few years ago for around $30.00. eugenia
Yes, you need to cut circles; look here:http://www.craftserver.com/forums/showthread.php?t=62609
PurpleHippie
Thanks Eugenia. The visual is VERY helpful. A lot cheaper than getting one of those no liner needed molds.
asheebeans
Ahhhh....the dreaded freezer paper! I have it to thank for my Upland! LOL No more lining and worth every penny. :highfive:
Fire and Ice
I still have to practice lining a 2lb mold but one tip I read is to use your top. Drop it down into the mold when you set your paper liner in unfolded and tug on you corners while holding down the lid. The corners are a lot crisper. I haven't tried it yet although I remembered to cut out the excess at the corners. Fire
Faye_SC
I build my liner around my mold top, it helps alot with the corners, but it can be a bugger to get out sometimes.Paul at TOG has some new molds, that are plastic lined, but they are a bit higher in price. Meridith
Eugenie's soap lining tutorial is very helpful. It is how my hubby learned to line my molds. I can get several batches from one liner!
CareBear
I use the template that comes with my Misty Creek molds. Comes out perfect every time. I don't cut out the circles in the corners - I just make my creases crisp - nice and firm and I don't get any marks at all.
barncat
Has anyone tried cutting up silicone mats and lining them with that to cut to fit? Just curious, i picked some up for a couple bucks and haven't had the chance to try it yet. I wonder if that would work??
