Scented
Good luck. To me the bubbly part of the recipe is a little high, but ... I haven't used crisco in soap. The sameness on bubbly and creamy lather should give you a nice foamy lather. I think you'll enjoy the recipe. So what scent will you be doing or are you going unscented? Fire and Ice
I'm going to go for a standard soap scent. OMH.I've never done the scent in a candle so it's new to me and it doesn't accelerate so I'm going for it! I will do an ITP swirl with some cocoa powder!:tiptoe: Thanks very much, scented. I've already weighed out my oils, both hard and soft. I'm getting ready to mix my lye water and set it up over night.I'll soap early afternoon tomorrow!Thank you again!Fire
Carriegsxr6
I havent used Crisco, but I have used hydrogenated soybean oil and even though it makes a hard bar, you really dont get much moisturizing from it. If you end up not liking it, try lowering the crisco to 20% and add 20% olive oil.
Peachdream
I would personally lower the castor and crisco and add it to your RBO. I find castor is more suited to around 3-5%. It quickens trace and interfers with your bubbles IMO. But its always good to try these things out and see how you like them, not to mention its fun.
