shutterbugg
OK who said a long time ago to line your soap mold with a garbage bag? IT WORKED!!! Used a tall kitchen bag and my soap just lifted right out of the mold... Thankyou whoever it was that said that!!!
ebcandles
I use the my local grocery bags or walmart bags. They work wonders!!

Melly
dosnt your soap end up getting all creasy?? How do you get it to lay smooth?
lindsaycb
That's all i've ever used... You can spray the inside of your mold with pam & spread it out pretty darn flat. The only creases you get are down at the ends where it gathers. But those are our tester slices in our house.I don't mind creases, so I gave up pam a while ago. I like to serve my soap by the slice, so its much more of a freshness/deli feel

heather_dw
i dont think I could do it with cpop though. I was thinking about an upland mold but do those molds come with a liner or do you buy is separate. I saw them listed separate on the site but then in the pics of the molds, it looks like they have one in there already.anyone ever get one of those? Elizabeth
I'm pretty sure the liners are sold separately. Thanks for the tip Les. I'll remember that when i get that target mold..
Meridith
I have an Uplands mold and the liners DO come with the mold. It is confusing though because they do show them separate on the site. :smiley2:The liners are great too - makes it so easy to get the soap out. Only problem is is the cut lines on the liner are not even so each bar won't be the same the size. You have to adjust for this difference when cutting your bars. sueb50
I used to use a log mold and line it with a grocery bag. I didn't like it because I always had a crumpled look to the bottom of my soap. Could never get it flat. I now use a Keilsi (sp) mold and LOVE it!!
Melly
I have 2 uplands and love them, easy to assemble, soap comes out like a dream, and they do come with liners, they also sell the liners seperatly for people who like to make thier own molds. heather_dw
ohh, thats great. I was afraid that I had to buy the liner separate, which would have made the molds pretty expensive..lol
Sara
Thanks for the reminder on this one. Forgot all about that!! :highfive:
TexasBrat
I used a Target bag in my Target mold today and it turned out fine. There were a couple little creases (sp?) but it turned out great and was easy to lift out. I give it 2 thumbs up.
Linnyeg
uplands DO come with the liner, but you can also buy additional liners seperately.
