pj'snana
I make soap for a hobby. I had not made any in a while. Early this morning I made a 3 lb. batch. I do CPHP. The recipe called for 518 gm of water and 186 gm of lye. I used 136 gm of lye. I did not realize it until I was measuring for the next batch and saw that I had used the wrong amount. By that time the soap was cooking in the crockpot. I poured it into a mold and of course it is very soft. What should I do about this or is there anything I can do? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks, Dorothy
Carrie
Rebatch. Mix the missing lye with at least an equal amount of water and add it to the re-batch. It may be a little soft because of all the extra water.
