RMullen99
Hi Everyone...its been alittle while......I have a question......I am trying to use 4627 in a 3" Tumbler....its hard to wick obviously...a big wick smokes or tunnels and a smaller wick doesnt get the full meltpool. I added 20% C3 to see if I could keep the bigger wicl but slow the tunneling ..so far no luck. Does anyone have any idea on how to help this wax perform in the tumbler? Would adding straight parrafin help it?Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated!:smiley2:
WillowBoo
Someone mentioned previously, they used 1 T Crisco to 1 lb. 4627. I have never tried that. You may want to go a minimum of 30% on the C-3. I add a lot of CO to my mix as well.
SliverOfWax
Wicking isn't sized small, medium, and large. Which wicks are you using and what actual size? What's the % of the fragrance oil? Are you using dye?Any information you can add would help.
chuck_35550
A 3" tumbler shouldn't be all that difficult to wick. It would help to know what type of wicks you have on hand (cd, cdn, zinc, eco) but for this paraffin blend I would think a zinc would be your best bet. That's just a shot in the dark without more information. HTH.Steve
