Mnhorsemom
that is the question. I am doing my first show this weekend and am getting ready to package up some soap. Do I need to bevel the edges or not. The bars are pretty uniform in size as the mold I have has cutting guides and came with a cutter. TIA
elle110
Personally, I like them unbeveled and that saves you extra work
ChrisR
That is really a matter of personal preference........I bevel!
Scent Cellar
My bars are quite pampered by the time they reach the customer. I bevel and polish most of mine.
sawyer's moon
I personally don't like the look of beveled bars so no - I do not bevel.Jen
MichelleOH
No bevel here!
ebcandles
I use to bevel every bar. It took alot of time and in the end, I had a ton of scraps that I couldnt figure out what to do with. It really a matter of personal preference. I dont know about anyone else but by the time I was done beveling, my bars looked alot smaller than the unbeveled bars. RobinInOR
I used to bevel, but don't anymore. Not really my style. I do run my fingernail over the sharp edges though, so the first use isn't quite as painful
Scent Cellar
Yes, I think using the beveler is the key. I charge more for my soap than my competition so I want the customer to know they are getting something "extra" for their $$$.

Sara
I bevel on some...On others I dont..lolDitto that. I like the look and feel of the bevel, but it is a PITB.
Meridith
I too bevel some and not others. Some I don't bevel because certain batches will trace faster and when they come out of the mold, the tops are so uneven that they won't go into the beveler and not all sides can be beveled. I hope that made sense. I would have to shave so much off to get it to bevel that my bar would be alot smaller than I want.
