pixie
I was making a batch of cp soap today and decided to use a FO that was about a year and a half old. It was Rose from Sweetcakes. As soon as the FO hit the mixture, it immediately resulted in it turning into what looked like a hundred tiny soap balls. Do you think this could be because of the age of the FO or do you think its that FO in general? Thanks:yay:
sudsnwicks
Florals tend to accelerate, that is probably why you had that happen to you. I haven't noticed any change in behavior of my FOs which are older.
Blest2BAmerican
It was the FO. I had Rose FO from Peak's do that to me.
CareBear
the fact that it's been around a while does not impact whether or not it will make your soap seize.
Scent Cellar
I use Peak's Rose Bouquet all the time in CP soap and never had it seize. I soap it at quite a cool temp. Beautiful scent in the soap and long lasting.
