TexasBrat
I was making lotion bars and I added olive oil instead of coconut oil. :rolleyes2 They don't seem to be bad so far but I don't know what I was thinking. lol :embarasseDo you think there will be much diffenece with that? Is olive oil very greasy or oily? Also, whenI was pouring and I weighed one and it said 2.0 and I had tared the scale. Now, when I weigh it says total 2.2. What is up with that? The container is .8 by itself. Is there a difference from when it is liquid to when it is solid? I would think that solid would weigh more than liquid. I'm so confused now. I guess I have to label them as 1.something. :rolleyes2
Carrie
LOL, you wanted to save yourself 15 minutes with the lip balm. Isn't that the way it always is. Hope it all works out. Maybe it'll be great.
TexasBrat
lol...I did save my 15 minutes. They are done cooling and acutally they seem pretty nice. I like it, not to oily and very silky feeling b/c I added cyclomethicone to it.
maryann
I use both coconut nut and olive oil. My recipe calls for only olive oil, but I have so much coconut oil I'm adding it to EVERYTHING . I luv the consistency of my soy lotion bars
TexasBrat
OH good, that helps. I think it came out fine but one lotion bar I made a long time ago was a little firmer and these are a little softer but still nice.
Fern-Marie
I don't make these, or anything like these but I enjoy reading. Can I just say, If you asked me if I would like mine made with Coconut Oil or Olive Oil, I would pick Olive every time...I mean, not knowing anything, but if someone offered me a choice. Also, if someone has a allergy to nuts, would they be allergic to these?Just curious. Thanks, Fern-Marie
