Sara
After hearing the raves on London Lemon Curd I picked some up and used it in a test batch. Love it. Delicious, delicious in CP soap. I put some poppy seeds in it for fun. I couldn't get a great picture, though, but it is a nice lemon-y color Aaaand, I need to put the picture in here... RobinInOR
And here I thought you'd whipped up some of that "Holy Grail" scrub lol. Looks great in soap, just the right amount of seeds. Good job Sara.. and a fantastic pic too You've used Peak's Lemon Pound Cake in soap, haven't you? How would you compare Lemon Curd to it? But it was a great FO so I plan to make a real one soon. Oh and the yellow is D&C Yellow #10 from The Pigment Lady.Robin, you know I haven't tried the one from Peak, but am curious too because I hear so many good things about it. Sara
Bumping this up. Sara wondering if this discolored at all?Heck yeah, it did. *grumble* I read on the dish that it didn't discolor. Maybe not in the first 24 hours, but mine is a caramel color now.
Carrie
LOL Sara, I was just looking to see if it discolored because I read on the link you provided (Scent Works) that it does turn brown. So sorry. I havn't tried the lemon pound cake from Peak in soap but it is yummy in wax.
Sara
Yeah, LOL. That dang vanilla. Aaah well. Probably one of my splurge buys where I figured even with discoloration it was probably a good one, and it did turn out to be. Just have to get creative with it, I guess
Kimberly
And here I thought you'd whipped up some of that "Holy Grail" scrub lol. Looks great in soap, just the right amount of seeds. Good job Sara.. and a fantastic pic too You've used Peak's Lemon Pound Cake in soap, haven't you? How would you compare Lemon Curd to it?I havent tried the Londaon Lemon Curd but I have tried the Lemon Pound Cake from Peak....I really think it is WEAK in CP. SOaps awesome...but the I think the scent fades dramatically.
cindym
I have not had that experience with Lemon Pound Cake at all, I make a kitchen soap with it and the scent stayed strong for a very long time.
