DelphicScorpion
This is so neat! You light it and the flame runs along the lines you see (the wick, obviously ) About:http://blog.sub-studio.com/2006/09/van-bmmel-studio-bravit-candle.html

DelphicScorpion
No, I've yet to make a normal candle, let alone one like that! I put the link where I found it in the first post. He also posted about a candle with a built in matchbox, which was weird, but THIS one really got me going "Ooooh!!!:shocked2:" Haha.
DelphicScorpion
I just found a video for it. The flames splitting is so cool. (Despite how it sounds, I'm not advertising anything, haha. I just realized it sounds like I'm trying to sell it.)Watch it burn! http://www.vanboemmel.com/motion3.html
Candybee
I edited my post because I realized you had posted the blogsite. Anyway that is some cool looking candle. I wish I had the imagination (and the time!!) to try cool things like that.
Candybee
WOW!! Just watched the video of the candle burning. That was awesome. Watched the whole thing. Love how the wicks split off and create seperate flames. Notice how the music and the wick flames splitting off was timed perfectly?!!Thanks for sharing. That was awesome. Now the question is, how did they do it??
Miadrianel Candles
I though about something similar for a pyramid candle. Start out as one and then split into man other to burn as the base got wider...I didn't think it would be safe so I never tried it. But that looks really cool though. I have seen something similar in a german site. They're called Elam candles.Dan
simplybeelightful
...I didn't think it would be safe so I never tried it. That was my thought too. It is a cool candle but looks like it puts off a pretty big flame at times.
LuminousBoutique
really pretty... I wonder what its burn time is? I got bored, didnt watch the whole thing, lol
Candybee
really pretty... I wonder what its burn time is? I got bored, didnt watch the whole thing, lolI didn't time it but think its about 6-10 minutes from lighting to burning out. Not that long really. DelphicScorpion
I didn't time it but think its about 6-10 minutes from lighting to burning out. Not that long really. It's kind of odd that there wasn't a timer. When I was watching I noticed that the flames flickered kind of weird, so I'm wondering if it was sped up. But it is very thin, I can't imagine it talking very long either way.(Why can I edit this post, but not my other ones?) Miadrianel Candles
Candles that are made as thin as a sheet of wax don't really last very long. I had made some that looked like the sails of a boat and they burned really fast. They look cool for decor but don't really last unfortunately. cybersix
It's a really interesting design!I believe candles like that are meant just for special occasions, to underline some important moments. With a proper holder I don't see many problems, it doesn't drip (at least from what I see in the video).Cool find!
