Forest Hill Candles
I need to wick a container that is 4"x4". I'm using CB135 with the scent being Vanilla Coconut. Should I use one wick HTP 1312 or double CDN 16?TIA
Stella1952
double CDN 16That seems like too large a size of CDN to use for doublewicking. I'd try a few sizes smaller, me. Could also try a single CDN 22-26...
RichardLOZ
Depending on the FO, a CDN 22 or 24 "should" work ok in that jar. Might die down a little towars the end is all. As always test, test, test Cheers
SliverOfWax
I used to make 4" tins (16 oz) and sometimes made a soy blend. I triple wicked. For the majority of my oils, I used 3 HTP 52's. A straight soy might require a bigger wick.I wouldn't consider trying to single wick a 4" container. Even if I could get it to burn right, to me it wouldn't look right. Multiple wicks add to the aesthetics of the candle, imo.
Forest Hill Candles
Thanks everyone for your help. I did go with a single wick and used a HTP 1212. It was the biggest wick I had. I only go up to a CDN 16 in the Stabilo. I'm testing...........
