katshe
I think I am close to finishing my site...keep thinking of things to add.In any case...i could use another pair of eyes to have a look and tell me your opinions please.I was thinking of adding the body oil to the men's page too or just keep ing only on skin care alone. if i put it on mens section it will be in two places...not sure if that will be confusing. Thanks so muchkathylink is below Edited March 3, 2011 by katshe

sbs
Your site is gorgeous! I added an item to my shopping cart and put in my zip and shipping came up as $7.00 for one of your 7 oz jars... I know its only .05 cents difference from the flat rate you offer but some people might get frustrated the cart doesn't say $6.95 like you advertise. I dunno just my thoughts...:smiley2: I do love your site though. Very neat and clean and very well put together!
katshe
that $7 is the cost of the candle i think ...shipping doesnt show up till you enter your payment info and then proceed...entering zip just is a info gatherer I was told by a paypal specialist...I hate that it doesnt calculate shipping until end of checkout but cant change it so they say.I will go there and try it again and see if it is acting up. thanks sbsI will get right on that spelling error , thanks TruI just went to site and added 1 jar candle and calculate shipping with zip and it comes up total with tax -no shipping is added in at that point. But if you are thinking that it is shipping then maybe other customers will too not understand that is is added in later. I have noted it in the shipping/policies page that shipping will show up at the end of check out after payment info is added Edited March 3, 2011 by katshe

I never noticed that about paypal. I just checked my site which does the same thing which is kind of bad because when you add an item to the cart there is an option to calculate shipping. You enter your zip and hit calculate and your'e right, it says 0.00. So now I know customers won't know shipping until they actually put payment info? That kinda sucks... lol. Thanks for teaching me something new!

katshe
sbs, you're welcome. i too hate it that it doesn't show up till the end . I was on the phone with paypal a few times with this shipping issue and they told me that entering the zip was just gathering info at that point.I have never heard of such a thing that it doesn't show shipping after you enter zip to calculate shipping Maybe that is a feature you have to pay for? deena
I think your website is clear, clean, easy to read. I would love to be able to enlarge your products photos though, realise I can on the tile coaster but I dn't seem to be able to on your skin care and other products.Well done. SliverOfWax
It's very pretty. The colors and pictures on the home page are pleasing to look at.You need an apostrophe in Mens on your menu.
SatinDucky
Your site is very nice! Easy to navigate pleasing to browse through.I understand that you can't do anything about the shipping /total thing, but making it flat rate and stating that on every page makes a big difference. I've seen many sites that wont give shipping cost until the end and they DON'T get my business. I refuse to give my cc info until I know the exact total I'll be charged. Between fearing that the order will submit before I see the charge and getting disgusted that I've wasted the time to hunt down my purse, dig out the card and type all that info in only to find out the shipping is outrageous - I just go shop somewhere else. Thanks for teaching me something new!Your site looks really good. My site is done with weebly and a paypal shopping cart. When the zip code is put in, I hit calculate and the shipping and tax are included. The customer knows the total before payment information. It has to be a setting in the set up of the your cart. I have no idea...it's been a while.

B@BlissStreet
:tiptoe:Not being critical; just proofreading...page one has a small eror in the payment area; it says Payal instead of PayPal. Gosh, I feel so bit%Hy for saying that, but would you take a look at mine? Photos aren't all ready, but I put much of the copy in place. A new set of eyes is always key.:smiley2:
forevershanda
I don't think anyone is trying to be mean or rude. We're vulnerable to our own writing. We know what it is supposed to say and our eyes just kind of put it there. Those fresh eyes catch the errors
bwc
After spending 20 years as a transcriptionist, I still couldn't find my own mistakes, but I could always find someone else's. I think we just "fill in the blank" with our minds when we see a word we have put in ourselves. first page - phthalates instead of phalates Should the word "good" have the "G" capitalized?Scent descriptions: "sweet, scent" doesn't need a commaI suppose once you have corrected "payal" on the home page the rest of the pages will update?Nice site! katshe
I am so thankful for all your eyes I went back through the site and I think I got everything and a couple more I foundI did make the pics clickable...took me a minute to figure out how. I did not make the candles enlargeable yet as I am changing some of those pics later today or tomorrow.Still working On pic for castile soap. i will have that updated along with updated candle pics.Again thanks so muchGo ahead and check out the pics enlargements and see if they seem to take too long to load for you. bwc
A tip for proofreading is to read your text backwards. It stops the rhythm of the sentence and you can concentrate on the words.

R.S.
Nice website! I did find on your candles page that the comment that burn time was approximately 50 - 90 hours was a bit odd. That's a very large range, and I assume covers proper burning scenarios down to just letting one burn from start to finish without stopping. My suggestion is that you limit the range to just the time needed to burn if burned properly, and if you wish put a footnote in describing the procedure used for burning to achieve that number.
