kimmeroo
who has a good one? I ordered(quite a while ago) from JS and it smells just like fuel(kerosene) so I just accepted the fact that I am stuck with it. So the other day I needed some for a friends candle I order more from JS(hoping it will be ok) and the same exact smell! Fuel(kerosene)..do you think I should call or email to see if I can get something else or am I just stuck with it again? I will never order that particular scent from them again.Kim

TexasBrat
My favorite CLV is from Just by Nature which is now sold at http://southwestcandlesupply.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1&sort=20a&page=4mmmm I just made some soap with it last weekend. kimmeroo
TY..TexasBrat! I think I will email JS just to see what they say. Lesson learned anyways.
pleasureridgecandles
I've used JS for this scent before and never had a fuel smell. I haven't gotten any of that for some time though. I've used CS as well and their's was great. Let us know what they say about it so if it's going to be an issue with that scent we'll know to steer clear of it. Pam W
I've also used AH's CLV - it is different from Peaks in that Peaks is stronger on the Lime but I get a lot of requests for it in pillars. If I want less lime and more coconut, I blend with Peaks Coconut milk which also makes a great candle.
Bella Rose
I've tried Peaks and wow it is strong..more Lime notes I notice, too. It's not a personal favorite of mine, but friends love it. Adding more coconut scent sounds like a great idea....
Pam W
I like strong scents because I can use less % and save on cost w/o sacrificing throw.
RWV
If you're looking for a good B&BW dupe of the CLV, Rustic Essentials is it--no fuel in my paraffin/soy blend, throws nicely and is also bath and body safe.
Debra Phelps
I like Candle Science and Millcreek on that one. If you add a little coconut to the one you have it will cut the fuel smell and make it smell really good.
Ring of Fire
I will never order that particular scent from them again.KimYou should have said that the first time you got it and it smelled like kerosene.
Debra Phelps
I notice it in a lot of the citrus. I notice it more since I am making candles all the time. But the customers don't notice it. I was at a show one Sat. and a candle maker had a orange scent burning. I was gagging all day, but she was selling them. No one said a word. They sure smell good when you pour them though. Luci
I've never put CLV in wax, but I just soaped the one from SGS. It's divine. I also like the one from CS.
chuck_35550
Candlewic is dead on. IMHO, Steve
