chuck_35550
Minding my own business and making a batch of salt bars and everything is going as planned and the batter is ready for the sea salt; pouring out salt from a measuring cup that has been weighed and open up the seal on a box that will be totally used........it is one solid block of salt. No panick, still got time but wait....the box won't rip off! Panic sets in as I wrestle with the block of salt until finally it plops into the batter! Well, everything looks ok just thought I'd warn you about salt absorbing humidity and solidifying in the box. Thanks. Steve
Barbara AL
We definitely had some humidity the last few weeks I will remember to drop my box of salt on the floor first before I open it next time.Barbara AL

chuck_35550
Oh Babs, they are so ugly! It seems like the harder I try the worse I get, lol. The bars look like pieces of granite. I might post some pics just to prove I really do soap but oh brother is this some ugly soap.Steve
MissMori
Granite sounds so pretty! I have some purple granite salt soap. Not fugly, but not the prettiest soap either. I'm not sold on salt bars yet. What's the big deal?
chuck_35550
Some of my customers believe it helps their skin problems. I don't make them very often because few people seem to want them. This would have been ok if the box of salt had not been a solid brick, lol. Steve
Scented
Might be a good lesson for me to check the salt before making a batch lol. I had some salt recently trying form a perfect cylinder I suspect. Fortunately it did break up.
chuck_35550
I used a bar this morning and wowzer is this good soap. Ugly but mmm thassa some good kinda soap. Scented
LOL! You know I made some of these with dead sea mud in one batch and aussie pink clay in the other. You're right, they do feel pretty good. I have used these before and never really paid attention to the feel.

LuminousBoutique
yep, although I've been tempted to make a tea tree oil one and hope people can figure it out on their own lol
Scented
This is just something that can happen to people making claims without thinking ... I know the people at work won't remember one iota about the argument I had with them back when they did an article on elderberry ... but my ears perked up when this was on the news. http://www.kansas.com/2011/09/03/2000775/kansas-winery-feds-reach-deal.htmlSorry I hijacked!
