Karen M
Some fall scents I carry year round because they are popular, but usually I have in the fall around 10.
Candybee
Too many! I have 14 for fall and 9 for Christmas. That's because the way I display my candles those are the numbers I need to fill the spaces. Its been working for me. I used to do only 12-14 scents but it keeps creeping up again! LOLI have a few more for soap but I try to match up some scents for those who like soap and candles in the same scent. ksranch
Wow, I don't feel so bad seeing those numbers! I started out thinking four for each, but the more scents I tried, the more I simply couldn't leave out. Now I'm up to 8 fall and 9 Christmas!! lol
samandkennasmom
Hi!Thank you all for letting me know! I had 14 Fall and I think that is just to many. Now all I have to do is figure which ones to scratch! I love them all so much! And is there really such a thing as to many? Not sure I have that concept mastered yet! LOL! Thanks againHugsMichele

morethanrubies
No you can't fault anyone for wanting to do their VERY best!! Even if it results in many UPS deliveries, weekends in the "lab" aka what use to be the kitchen where meals use to be cooked LOL .... at the end of the day you are achieving he he. morethanrubies
how did you narrow that down?!
Monvi33
I have 5 new ones for fall and 5 for (new) Christmas. Plus I have 5 that I stock year round. So 15 total.
SuzyK
This is my first fall season in business so I'm adding 8 or 9. And then another 8 or 9 for Christmas.
NaturallyTru
Skimpy Budget helps narrow it down. My old business I never had more than 20 regular scents and had usually 6 fall/holiday scents. Every January I looked at what sold and deleted slow sellers so I could add more in. Current business...40 scents total and about 15 testers waiting to burn...oh yeah...the 12 I just ordered from Fillmore. In January I will do the cutting scents that sell slow. Unless my business really grows I don't like having a whole lot of scents to have to keep in stock...because I can't afford to have $ sitting there. jackbenimble
I have 4 Fall scents and 5 Christmas scents. This is my first year selling during the fall/winter holiday season so we will see how it goes. Also I have to keep the scent choices down because like some I just can't afford to have a huge inventory.
PAgirl89
I have 10 for Fall and 5 for Christmas. I think a couple of the Fall scents I can use year-round, we'll see how the year ends.
lilcountrymama
I see many company's that sell over ten i don't think there's a such thing as to many as long as they sell I have 7 but will be.adding each year
Candybee
Actually there is a thing as too many. You see it in the customers faces. Too many scents confuse customers and some just turn away or lose their sense of smell after a while. You see it in your pocketbook. Keeping too many scents in stock puts a huge dent in your finances.I do what NaturallyTru does-- cut out the slow mover and non sellers to keep my scent offerings down to what sells and save money. Introduce a few scents each year to market test them and see if you have any new top sellers. This keeps your line fresh and new while keeping tried and true scents for those customers that like to repurchase favorites again. My fall & Christmas scent list is longer this year but most of them are tried and true sellers I have been using either all year or last fall that sell well. I actually have only one new FO in my line, the rest are year round sellers or new combos of proven sellers.
