tam1116
I poured C-3 wax with 7% BayLaurel fo in 12 oz jar. It has a chemical smell when burning.I used CD10 wick. I have used this FO in CBA and 464 withoutout the smell. Anybody have any ideas as to what causes this???
Stella1952
The only issues I have ever experienced with "chemical smell" have been due to the FO or the dye. I also notice chemical smells when I have sprayed something into the air, been cleaning or used a chemical material of some kind (paint, adhesive, etc.), then light a candle... the chemicals in the fumes in the air get burned along with everything else. You could try using less FO - too much can bring out notes that you never realized were present or wanted to smell.
