Kitn
I have tried them and I cannot stand the feel of the wool on my skin.. It is fun to do, I make a few now and then for the market.
Pam W
I've seen felted soaps on other forums and for the life if me, I can't understand how they would not get nasty with body gunk over time. Maybe I'm missing something!
Candybee
I never tried one so I don't know either. Maybe someone who has used a felted soap can chime in on how it stays clean wash after wash? When I think of it it reminds me of how sponges collect bacteria over time. How can it not do that?
Lorrie
Wool has antimicrobial properties from what I understand. I have a bar of felted soap in the shower that I use from time to time. It doesn't get dirty but I don't care for the way it feels on my skin so I use it on my feet.
Jewls819
I will just have to try it. I wondered how it feels though. THanks for the replies.
Sharon in KY
It just feels kind of scratchy. I made a couple of bars and I think I might have liked them if I had made a really sudsy soap and a larger bar. As it was I could hardly get any good suds so I have one in a drawer so I can see that I did make one.
josie1091
I make them. I use Merino Wool. It is anti-bacterial. It never gets dirty. It suds the minute water hits it. It is great for people who have a hard time holding on to slippery soap. It lasts a very long time. The wool shrinks as the soap shrinks. They are not fast sellers as they are so different. People who buy them, like them however.

Would like to buy a bar of your felted soap to see what it should look like and suds.
Sharon in KY
I have a friend that is a very good knitter. She made a couple of gorgeous purses by knitting them with wool yarn and then felting them somehow. All I saw was the results and they were both really nice. You could not see the knitted stitches at all just solid heavy felt. Could this be done with soap? Would it be really hard? Not much of a knitter so I don't know. josie1091
It's much easier to just felt with the wool. It is loose wool.
