willow22
Does anyone know of a scale that does not have an auto shut off? TIA
ProudMarineMom
This is the one I have and it's programmable. I think it's a great scale. Bought it from Amazon for the price. And, bought the power cord and additional covers from Old Will Knots. Now, it does only do whole gram measurements, so if you need more precision for that you will probably want to find another one. I bought a little gram scale for that.http://www.amazon.com/My-Weigh-KD-8000-Weighing-Tabletop/dp/B001NE0FU2http://www.oldwillknottscales.com/my-weigh-kd8000.html?gclid=CM3Zp76_m68CFQ1U7AodMlspaA
jackie
some allow you to turn it off. I have a My Weigh KD7000 (from oldwillknottscales) and I turned off the auto shutoff. I love the scale and use it for everything (kitchen, candles, soap, mailings).
jackie
apparently proudmarinemom posted while I was still typing. amazon looks like a good deal. I've had my 7000 for several years and never had a problem. The aaa batteries last a long time in it. I bought mine from oldwillknott but I watched and got it in one of their 24hr sales. I got the power adaptor too. I also have small gram scales for very precise measurements (.1 and .01gr) but they don't have much weight capacity compared to the 7000. I find many more uses for the 7000. Edited April 4, 2012 by jackie
willow22
some allow you to turn it off. I have a My Weigh KD7000 (from oldwillknottscales) and I turned off the auto shutoff. I feel silly now, I looked at the manual in an attempt to turn off the auto and it wont give me the display I need in order to shut it off. Any suggestions?Never mind...Finally figured it out, of course like usual the issue was operator error! Kitn
Some of them let you hit the gm/lb button when you turn it on, to make the scale stay on until you turn it off.
